POUR LES ALPES
plans and realizes design projects
focussing cooperations with
artisanal craftswomen and craftsmen from the swiss Alps.
Inspired by traditional techniques
and materials from the alpine regions
POUR LES ALPES creates unique objects
for the urban living space.
In doing so POUR LES ALPES
emphasises high quality regarding the use
of material and the artisan elaboration.
As to the aspect of sustainability
POUR LES ALPES integrates regional
ressources in the entire design and
production process. Such an approach not
only includes the use of regional materials,
e.g. Swiss pine wood, but also the implication
of the know-how of local craftswomen and craftsmen,
which introduces new perspectives
for traditional craft as well as the
contemporary design.
POUR LES ALPES was founded
by the designers Tina Stieger
and Annina Gaehwiler in 2007.
Tina Stieger lives and works in Zurich,
